Hydrating Elixer Recipe Ayurveda

Hydrating Elixir

Blend Following Ingredients in a Blender:

• 1 Quart (4 cups) warm water (or warm if fighting of defending flu)

Juice of 1-2 limes (to taste)

• 1-2 Tbs sweetener (raw honey, jaggery, maple syrup, sucanat)

• 1/8 tsp salt (we suggest “soma salt” from Chandika.com)

 

With one of the following options:

• Vata: 1 pinch sunthi powder (Ayurvedically processed ginger)

• Pitta: 10 mint leaves

Kapha: 1 sliver chopped fresh ginger (can also add few chopped basil leaves or tulsi if you have them)

Drink fresh daily to hydrate the system (rasa), tonify Agnii, and provide minerals and electrolytes. Please be sure to also drink an adequate amount of other juices, beverages and water each day.
